BENJAMIN & OLIVIA OKAI

Benjamin and Olivia, who grew up in Ghana, have been married since August 1998 and their union has been blessed with three daughters: Bestynna, Beslynn, and Bennisa. The girls have become young adults and the empty nest is approaching.

Benjamin is a licensed professional counselor, clinical supervisor, and a counselor educator at John Brown University. For him, the most gratifying thing is to serve and help people overcome their mental and emotional challenges and enjoy a life of service to the Lord. Olivia is also a license professional counselor employed at Arisa Health. They have lived in Searcy since 2003. As a couple, they enjoy cooking, watching movies, yard work, and traveling.

Benjamin has served as an elder since 2016.

Lesser-Known Facts

Benjamin and Olivia have had many foster children in their home. One of their previous foster kids could not say “Miss Olivia” well, and called her “Misweewa” instead!

Benjamin and Olivia love the beach, despite being very poor swimmers.

Ministry

Benjamin started preaching at the age of 16 and has been involved with various ministries including pulpit, family, prisons, and evangelistic campaigns in Ghana, Italy, and the United States. The family is involved in fostering and strengthening family relationships locally and abroad.
