CLOVERDALE COLLEGE MINISTRY

Equipping Leaders Who Love God and His Church

WELCOME

Cloverdale Campus Ministry is a college outreach ministry at the Cloverdale Church of Christ.

Welcome! My name is Philip Baird, I serve as the College Minister at Cloverdale. My passion is helping college students fall more deeply in love with Christ, learn the value of His Bride the Church, and recognize that both are essential to navigating young adulthood. Here you can find out some important information about what we are trying to accomplish in our campus ministry, but if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way you can contact me via email.

CAMPUS MINISTRY GOALS

Unlike many campus ministries or youth groups, Cloverdale purposely does not have a lot of activities. First, we do not wish to compete with Harding University activities that engage students in a Christian community of their peers. Secondly, the majority of our events and activities are actually intergenerational church activities where we encourage our students to engage with our Cloverdale family. Ultimately, we hope that by connecting to the church family students will graduate with an anchored sense of identity as disciples of Christ before all things.

We seek to connect with the intergenerational body of Christ and learn the value of our identity being grounded in the family of God. This includes potlucks, an Adopt-A-Student program, Sunday night small groups, and retreats.

We seek to learn more about God’s will for our time, relationships, questions, and futures as disciples of Christ Jesus. Classes address each stage of our journey through college and seeks to equip us for our next chapter.

We seek to grow in our faith as disciples who use our gifts for the Kingdom through involvement in leading worship, teaching Bible classes, ministry opportunities, & participating in mentoring groups.

We seek to be disciples who recognize that when we graduate we are being prayerfully sent by Cloverdale to share the blessings we have received with the Family of Faith all over the world.

IMPORTANT RESOURCES

This Volunteer Handbook is for any members of our congregation who are interested in helping out with college ministry efforts! Inside you will find information about opportunities to serve, a calendar of annual events, and an explanation of the goals we are seeking to achieve in this ministry. There is a place for everyone who has a heart for loving and equipping our young brothers and sisters in the faith.

This Calendar lists the majority of the events the College Ministry will be engaging in this Spring! We hope you will take advantage of these opportunities to connect, learn, serve, and grow together!
