ED & PAM MOSBY
Ed and Pam both attended Harding, but they met at a church function in Memphis, TN. Pam’s sister engineered a side-by-side seating arrangement at a small group fellowship dinner where they got to know each other and decided to go out on a date. They’ve been married since 1985 and have five adult children: Abby, Rachel (and Christopher), Holly (and Glen), Melissa (and Matus), and Matthew, and also ten incredible grandchildren.
Ed lived in five different states growing up, while Pam grew up in Memphis, TN. Since their marriage they’ve lived in Tennessee, East Asia, Alabama, and Arkansas.
After attending Harding for five semesters, Ed became involved in restaurant management. For several years, Ed and Pam owned and operated Ponderosa Steakhouse franchises in Crossville and Athens, Tennessee and Richmond, Kentucky. In 1998 they retired from the restaurant business and moved to Searcy so Ed could re-enroll in Harding University—completing Bachelor of Ministry and Bachelor of Arts in History degrees. While enrolled at Harding, Ed preached at the Peppers Lake church of Christ in DeValls Bluff, AR.
After Ed’s graduation, they worked as missionaries in a sensitive country in East Asia. Since 2005 they have worked as Missions Mobilizers to recruit, train, and send missionaries to East Asia. Other overseas activities include mission work in Russia,Brazil, Ghana, and Guyana.
After receiving her B.S.Ed. and M.Ed., Pam taught on the high school level for several years in Memphis, TN and taught English and Western Culture at the university level overseas. She also previously worked for the Harding School of Theology in Memphis as a faculty secretary and at the church of Christ at White Station as the General Office Manager.
Ed enjoys working in the yard and researching family history. Pam enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with their grandchildren. (Ed also enjoys the grandchildren!)
Ed has served Cloverdale as a shepherd since January 2023.
