PHILIP BAIRD| College Minister
Born in Searcy and raised attending Cloverdale Church of Christ, Philip has the distinction of being both the youngest minister on staff and the oldest member on staff. In 2018 the Elders asked Philip to lead the college ministry at Cloverdale.
Raised in Searcy, Philip attended Harding University where he earned a degree in Bible and Preaching in 2016. Following this, he graduated with a Masters of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM) from Harding School of Theology in Memphis. Philip is thankful to be able to continue to invest in the community that raised him to know our Savior and has a passion for the Church and its ability to be an instrument of transformation in the lives of young people. He strives to pass on this love for Christ and His Church to a generation struggling with loneliness, anxiety, frustration, lack of purpose, and shame. His prayer is that those who graduate from the college ministry will leave and become engaged, Spirit-led servants in congregations throughout the world.
In addition to his responsibilities at Cloverdale, Philip volunteers his time at HUT (a missions-training program) and as a sponsor for one of the Men’s Social Clubs on campus. In his free time, Philip enjoys reading, traveling, hammocking, going to the movies, game nights, playing racquetball, or watching professional tennis.
