REFUGE STUDENT MINISTRY

Cultivating Lifelong Disciples of Jesus

WELCOME

REFUGE is the 7th-12th grade student ministry at the Cloverdale Church of Christ.

Welcome! My name is Luke Dockery, I serve as the Youth In Family Minister at Cloverdale, and I care deeply about helping young people develop a faith in Jesus that will last throughout their lives.

At Cloverdale, we seek to minister to young people in the context of family. By this, we mean that we want to support the physical families of our students by equipping parents to build faith and disciple their children at home, and we also want to connect our students to our faith family, using the resources of older Christians to teach and mentor those who are younger.

Here you can find out some important information about what we are trying to accomplish in our youth ministry, but if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way, you can contact me via email.

REFUGE GOALS

We have many activities throughout the year, but each is designed to help us accomplish one or more specific goals that we have for our students.

(Credit and thanks to MJYG for providing the inspiration for these ministry goals.)

IMPORTANT RESOURCES

This Medical Release and Behavioral Contract needs to be on file before a student can travel for any official Refuge trip. This ensures that we have important emergency information about your child and also establishes behavioral expectations.

This form is designed to only be filled out once during a student’s time in youth group, unless medical or insurance information changes.

We place great emphasis on the biblical teaching our students receive. On Sundays, our group is divided into Junior High (Grades 7-8) and High School (Grades 9-12) classes. On Wednesdays evenings, our whole group is combined for class, and during the school year, we have Cell Groups.

The Refuge Education Map outlines what we teach to our students before they graduate.
